Coca-Cola plans to make drink boxes, cartons and packaging from paper and cardboard containing citrus fiber and juices, the Atlanta Business Chronicle reports.
According to a trademark filing, Coke will call the new sustainable packaging “Peelpack.”
In the company's other sustainable packaging initiatives, Coke, along with Heinz, Ford, Nike and Proctor & Gamble has formed the Plant PET Technology Collaborative, intended for development and use of 100 percent biobased PET in their product offerings.
