DaintreeDaintree Networks ControlScope software and devices were deployed in a project undertaken by Universal Music Group (UMG) to reduce energy use across 150,000 square feet of space over four floors at UMG's new offices in Woodland Hills, California.

UMG's project included installing technology for daylight harvesting, dimming, LED lighting fixtures, and occupancy sensors. The project also allows UMG to comply with California's Title 24 requirements, which call for a 25-percent reduction in energy consumption in both commercial and residential buildings compared with previous state requirements.

California's Title 24 energy standards were updated in 2013, went into effect July 1, 2014, and must be met for all new and retrofit building permits granted after January 1, 2014.
