Green Energy Corp, a Colorado-based company that provides smart grid-enabling software for traditional and emerging power providers, has been awarded a $2 million loan from American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funding.
The money will go to continued development and marketing of the GreenBus Smart Grid software platform, which aims to help power utilities modernize their operations, increase their efficiency and automate many processes. The advanced functionality inside GreenBus allows these power providers to easily integrate renewable energy sources such as wind, solar, and biomass and better manage electric vehicles, Green Energy Corp says.
Meanwhile, Climate Earth has unveiled Scope 3 Answer Packs, the first in a line of environmental business intelligence products designed to help sustainability professionals report their organization’s top supply chain impacts. The modular products answer key business questions about the impact of spend on materials, services and the suppliers who provide them.
Each Scope 3 Answer PackTM is delivered in a secure web analytics portal covering cradle-to-gate greenhouse gas or water impacts, expert analysis, and recommendations, Climate Earth says.
The line so far includes three products. Top 25 Materials provides an upstream Scope 3 analysis for 25 categories of purchased materials and services. Top 50 Suppliers is a more extended analysis that includes all materials and services for up to 50 supplier companies. Supplier Plug-ins, offered for free through a referral program, provide supplier specific data for users of the Top 50 Supplier product without issuing surveys.
Answer Packs also include interactive roll-ups that organize results along business dimensions provided by the customer, such as department or location, Climate Earth says.
