Waste and environmental consulting engineering firm SCS Engineers has been selected by the city of Norwalk, California to provide consulting services for a Phase II Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) of a former landfill, Waste Management World reports.
The closed landfill is a Superfund site.
WMW reports the city is considering developing the property into a transportation/public services annex to provide additional storage facility space for vehicles and equipment.
