Reverse Osmosis System Treats Manure, Reduces Waste Management Costs

Posted

Livestock Water Recycling has installed a reverse osmosis system at a New York dairy farm that treats manure, providing the farm with a zero-discharge, closed-loop operation, Water & Waste Digest reports.

The Bath, New York-based Dickson Farms needed a way to treat manure that was sustainable and cost-effective.

The LWR system alleviates potential groundwater contamination and reduces expensive manure handling costs for Dickson Farms. It also provides the farm with a reliable water source for its daily operations by recycling clean water.
