Great Eastern Energy manageGreat Eastern Energy (GEE), a retail energy supplier, is working with UM Technologies to construct and maintain a customer dashboard and analytical portal for energy management. The beta version of the new web-based application is currently being tested by a select group of Great Eastern Energy’s customers to gain additional insights before being made publically available to all GEE customers later this year.

The GEE Energy Management web-based application, accessible through any web-enabled device, will help customers measure, track and compare their energy performance in real time.

According to a spokesperson for GEE, the portal is designed to give its customers an analytical engine to understand the impact of energy purchases, energy usage and all the options available to reduce both price and consumption.  GEE’s plan is to plug in all of the current options to reduce commodity expenses, but the system is modular enough to include all the future widgets that may derive from the 'Internet of things' in years to come.

This year, the portal will provide GEE customers with annual budgeting, savings analysis, document management, community based benchmarking, data management, variance and purchasing alarms and a suite of custom reports.

Great Eastern Energy supplies natural gas, electricity and energy solutions in New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts.
