ResinTech Expands Camden Facility with $10M Investment

Expansion boosts U.S. ion exchange resin production and strengthens supply chain.

ResinTech is making a strategic investment in its Camden, New Jersey headquarters, committing $10 million to expand its manufacturing facility by 30,000 square feet. Scheduled for completion in April 2025, this expansion comes at a critical time as the water treatment industry faces ongoing supply chain uncertainties, including potential trade disruptions and tariff impacts.

Company President Larry Gottlieb said that increasing the company's domestic production capacity will improve inventory reliability and shorten delivery times, positioning ResinTech as a dependable supplier of U.S.-manufactured water treatment solutions.

Advancing Water Treatment Technology with Increased Capacity

A key component of the expansion is the addition of a new sulfonation reactor, which will strengthen ResinTech’s ion exchange resin production. By incorporating this technology, the company ensures greater operational continuity, even during maintenance cycles.

Beyond resin manufacturing, the upgraded facility will support a 30% increase in domestic ion exchange resin production in 2025 compared to the prior year. This growth will help address pressing water contamination issues, including PFAS, lead, and pharmaceutical residue removal—critical concerns across industrial, municipal, and commercial applications.

Additional enhancements include expanded laboratory capabilities, increased production for point-of-use filtration products, and new loading docks to streamline logistics and accommodate higher shipping volumes.

Supporting Camden’s Economy and Environmental Initiatives

As one of Camden’s largest employers, ResinTech plays an essential role in the local economy, with nearly 400 employees. The expansion is expected to generate more than a dozen new jobs, reinforcing the company’s commitment to local workforce development.

Aligned with its environmental commitments, ResinTech will power the expansion using its existing solar energy infrastructure. This initiative supports the company’s LEED certification and underscores its ongoing efforts to minimize environmental impact while delivering high-performance water treatment solutions.
