Raley’s, a family owned grocery chain in headquartered in California, has selected Revolution Lighting Technologies to provide LEDs for its retail stores.
The company has used $300,000 worth of Revolution’s G3 LED tubes in seven locations in the ongoing project, according to the press release. The possibility exists for installation in more than 20 additional stores next year. That would add $800,000 to the deal, bringing the total to $1.1 million. The stores are in northern California and Nevada.
Revolution recently received food and safety certification from the NSF International for all of its plastic G3 LED tube lamps. They now can be used in food processing areas, according to the release.
LEDs continue to advance. Georgia Power said this week that its multiyear partnerships with local governments in the state will change thousands of high-pressure sodium roadway lights to LEDs. More than 50,000 LEDs already have been installed on roadways in Atlanta, Abbeville, Conyers, Savannah, Valdosta and elsewhere, the release says.
