Larson Electronics LLC, has released a new three-phase energy efficient isolation transformer, suitable for indoor and outdoor use. The new design offers environmental benefits, as well as protection against critical equipment failures. The company states the transformer offers low ownership cost, high reliability and low heat emissions. The isolation transformer can be used for applications such as powering supplies for sensitive technology including computers, medical devices or lab instruments.
The MT-DOE16-3P-208Y-75KVA-380D-N3R from Larson Electronics is an energy efficient 75kVA isolated transformer with a primary voltage of 208Y Wye-N and secondary voltage of 380V Delta. Each core in the transformer is engineered with non-aging, cold-rolled silicon steel laminations and coated to protect the internal components from the ingress of moisture. The cores are also electrically balanced which minimizes axial forces that occur during short circuits.
Because the MT-DOE16-3P-208Y-75KVA-380D-N3R is an “isolation” transformer, it has an increased level of protection against electric shock, and can suppress electrical noise in sensitive devices, as well as transfer power between two circuits that cannot be connected. The powered device is “isolated” from the power source, and the primary and secondary power sources are isolated as well. The unit’s efficiency-increasing features result in low heat emissions and low operational costs.
Larson Electronics has had a string of new product announcements recently. In January, the company launched a new portable, explosion-proof LED with an adjustable magnetic mounting base that produces 13,000 lumen flood beam of high quality light. The low-profile LED fixture is an ideal replacement upgrade for less efficient traditional fixtures, providing powerful light and flexible mounting for hazardous locations.

The 300-watt product is capable of illuminating an area up to 14,500 square feet with 35,00 lumens of bright illumination. This adjustable Cree LED light tower is designed for portability and durable operation in demanding conditions such as emergency services, mining, construction, marine and industrial operations.
