Lightning Labels, a Denver-based business, has announced a line of environmentally-friendly labels. These include kraft labels, recycled vellum labels and BioStone labels — among the most popular label types on the market today.
The company’s recycled kraft labels and stickers are produced from 100% post-consumer waste. Recycled vellum labels and stickers are made from 100% post-consumer waste and feature an elegant white vellum printing surface. They also have a strong liner for machine application.
BioStone labels are made from stone, so no trees were used in the manufacturing process. Plus, BioStone labels are water-resistant and offer a strong, durable material for printing.
Beyond the actual material these labels are printed on, there is another major ecological advantage - since the printing is all digital, there is no need for the plates used in conventional printing processes. According to Lightning Labels, that means less environmental impact, as well as a shorter turnaround time.
