Posted

UK-based Stenor Environmental Services and the University of Wales Trinity Saint David have partnered to explore the future of large-scale construction and demolition waste removal and recycling, Waste Management World reports.

Through the Knowledge Transfer Partnership, Stenor plans to explore the development of a new soil-testing facility and carrying out its own in-house testing.

In the US, C&D recycling is a $7.4 billion industry, Recycling Today reports. More than 480 million tons of C&D waste is generated in the US annually, making it the largest individual solid waste stream in the country.
