OKI (UK) Ltd. will purchase 3.6 million kilowatt hours of green power annually to provide 85 percent of the power needs of its Cumbernauld, Scotland Factory.
The company says it has been able to keep the costs of switching to green energy under control by qualifying for an exemption from a tax or climate change levy on the use of energy in industry, commerce, and the public sector.
The agreement is part of Scottish Power's Green Power Program, which promotes the use of wind power.
