Consumers in India, Brazil and China exhibit the most "green" consumption habits, according to a recent survey by National Geographic and Globescan.
Because of the overall amount of energy and items consumed, those in the United States, Canada and Japan scored the lowest, according to the Greendex survey. The survey also considers consumers' active choices, such as whether to repair or replace an item, using cold water to wash clothes and choosing green proucts over environmentally unfriendly ones.
Consumers in Brazil, Russia and Mexico increased their Greendex score the most, when compared to last year's results.
