An airport in India will run entirely on solar power now that Bosch Limited has commissioned a 12 MW solar project for Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL). The project executed by the Bosch Energy and Building Solutions team in India is built on 50 acres. This project, coupled with an earlier installed capacity of 1.1 MW, will make CIAL technically “grid power neutral,” according to Bosch.
Cochin is located in the city of Kochi in the Indian state of Kerala.
The Indian government has set the target of 100 GW of solar power generation in the country by 2022.
