Gasmet GT7000 Tellus Adds Fixed Multi-Gas Monitoring Options

Rack-mount FTIR analyzer supports emissions, CO₂ and process testing

Gasmet Technologies has introduced the GT7000 Tellus, a rack-mountable FTIR gas analyzer designed for fixed testing and monitoring setups.

The analyzer is aimed at companies, laboratories and research teams that need regular gas measurement rather than occasional spot checks. Target applications include industrial process monitoring, emissions testing, laboratory validation, combustion research, carbon capture, CO₂ purity monitoring and air quality measurement.

Designed for Fixed Gas Measurement Workflows

For industrial and laboratory users, gas analysis is often part of a wider system. The GT7000 Tellus has been developed in a rack-mountable format so it can be installed with other instruments in a structured measurement environment.

That makes it relevant for facilities that need repeatable data over time. Instead of using a portable analyzer for one-off checks, operators can integrate the system into a defined workflow where gas concentrations are measured continuously or at set intervals.

Gasmet says the analyzer can be configured for different measurement requirements without hardware changes. This gives users more flexibility when testing conditions shift, gas mixtures change or new compounds need to be monitored within the same setup.

For process teams, that matters. Emissions monitoring, carbon capture and process optimisation all rely on data that is consistent enough to support decisions, reporting and troubleshooting.

Multi-Gas FTIR Analysis for Complex Gas Streams

The GT7000 Tellus uses Fourier-transform infrared technology, commonly known as FTIR. The method identifies gases by measuring how they absorb infrared light. Each gas has its own absorption pattern, which allows the system to detect and measure several compounds at the same time.

According to Gasmet, the analyzer can measure up to 50 gases simultaneously. Its gas library includes 500 quantifiable gases and 5,000 identifiable gases. When used with Gasmet’s Calcmet 16 software, the system can provide concentration results, support data connectivity and help users identify unknown gases in mixed samples.

This multi-gas capability is useful for sites managing more than one emissions target, process variable or research question. It may also reduce the need for multiple separate instruments when several compounds need to be monitored in the same gas stream.

The GT7000 Tellus expands Gasmet’s next-generation product range, which also includes the GT5000 Terra and GT6000 Mobilis. The company states that the platform draws on more than 35 years of in-house FTIR development and application experience, with more than 7,000 analyzers delivered worldwide.

Gasmet also references the GT6000 Mobilis platform’s EN15267-4 QAL1 certification as part of the wider technology background. The GT7000 Tellus is positioned for fixed and integrated system use, while the broader FTIR platform is applied across field testing, laboratory work, process applications and environmental monitoring.

As industrial sites put more focus on emissions data, CO₂ measurement and process visibility, fixed multi-gas analyzers are becoming a practical part of the monitoring toolkit. The GT7000 Tellus is designed for that role: helping users track what is happening inside complex gas streams without rebuilding their measurement setup each time requirements change.
