Here’s the latest news on hirings, promotions and departures among environmental leaders.
Liberty Property Trust: The commercial real estate investment trust has named Billy Grayson director of sustainability. He comes to Liberty from the Electronic Industry Citizen Coalition, where he served as vice president of social and environmental sustainability.
Terex: The lifting and material handling products company has appointed John Garrison Jr. (pictured) as chief executive officer and president. He will also become a member of the Terex board of directors effective November 2. Garrison joins Terex from Textron, where he served as president and CEO of the company’s Bell Helicopter Segment.
IPCC: The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change elected Hoesung Lee of the Republic of Korea as its new chair. Lee is professor in the economics of climate change, energy and sustainable development at Korea University’s Graduate School of Energy and Environment in the Republic of Korea. He is currently one of the IPCC’s three vice-chairs.
Casella Waste Systems: The regional solid waste, recycling and resource management services company has appointed James O'Connor to serve as lead independent director of Casella’s board of directors. He joined the board in July 2015 and previously led the Republic Service board of directors.
Qua: The advanced membrane technologies developer has named Fred Wiesler as its director of sales and marketing. Prior to joining Qua, he was global director of sales for Membrana.
Watts Water Technologies: The plumbing, heating and water quality product manufacturer has appointed Debra Ogston as chief human resources officer. She comes to Watts Water from Schnuck Markets, where she served as chief people officer.
