Here’s the latest news on hirings, promotions and departures among environmental leaders.
Aqua America: The water utility has appointed Christopher Franklin (pictured) chief executive officer, effective July 1. Franklin is a 22-year veteran of Aqua, most recently serving as president and chief operating officer, regulated operations. He will succeed current CEO Nicholas DeBenedictis, who will become non-executive chairman of the board.
US Green Building Council Colorado: The Colorado USGBC has selected Patti Mason as executive director. Mason joined USGBC Colorado in May 2008, previously serving as the director of advocacy and associate director.
Cambrian Innovation: The provider of advanced biotechnology products for industrial businesses has named Anu Shah as its new vice president of engineering. He comes to Cambrian from Summit Engineering, where was principal division manager for wastewater engineering projects.
Watts Water Technologies: The manufacturer of water quality products has elected Christopher Conway as a board of directors member. He is president, CEO and chairman of the board of CLARCOR.
Severn Trent Services: The water and wastewater assets operator announced several executive team appointments. John Freebody has been appointed chief financial officer. He previously served as regional finance director for Northern and Western Europe for G4S. Mark Halleman was named senior vice president of business development. Before joining STS he was a vice president with Parsons. Shelly Azen has been named vice president of human resources. She was previously the vice president of human resources and training for CubeSmart.
Water Systems Council: The national nonprofit organization has named Jeff Hyson to its board of directors. He is the director of sales for Pentair-Water Solutions.
