Environmental & Energy Executive Moves: Recyclebank, Serious Energy, SunPower, PHH

Serious Energy: The manufacturer of energy-efficient building components and software has appointed John Pitcher as vice president of research and development. Pitcher founded energy management software company Scientific Conservation in 2007, and most recently served as its chief operating officer. Chip Pieper, also formerly with SC, has joined Serious Energy’s software and services business development and operations management team.

Recyclebank: The recycling incentives company has named Kris Heinrichs as chief financial officer. Heinrichs joins from digital marketing company 24/7 Real Media.

Green Energy Corp.: The smart grid software company has appointed Jennifer Godin Goss as CFO. Goss most recently was senior vice president of CoBank.

GridWise Alliance: The smart grid coalition has appointed Jim Morozzi to serve as its first CEO. Morozzi is currently an independent consultant to the electric and telecommunications industries and a former executive of Exelon Corporation.

Corporate Citizenship: The global sustainability consulting firm, part of Bell Pottinger Group, has appointed Karin Mortensen Laljani as managing director. She was most recently managing director with Aegis Media for Clownfish Ltd, working on sustainability strategies and communications for Unilever, MTV and Kellogg’s, among others.

E-Waste Systems: The London-based electronic equipment processor has appointed Larry Magor as a non-executive director. Magor was most recently CEO of Biwater Group.

Energy Systems Network: The clean tech industry initiative has elected four new members to its board of directors: John Bear, president and CEO of Midwest ISO (MISO); Eizo Kobayashi, chairman of the board at ITOCHU Corporation; Norio Sasaki, president & CEO of Toshiba Corporation; and Reuben Munger, Chairman & CEO of Bright Automotive.

SunPower: The solar power manufacturer has appointed six new board members, following completion of Total’s all cash tender offer on SunPower. The six board members, all Total executives, are Arnaud Chaperon, Bernard Clement, Denis Giorno, Jean-Marc Otero del Val, Reinhard Schneider and Humbert de Wendel.

SOL, Inc.: The provider of solar LED outdoor lighting has named Paul Wickberg as its new president and CEO. Wickberg’s past positions include executive roles at Verisae, evandtec, Computer Process Controls and Emerson.

PHH: The outsourcing provider has named Glen Messina as chief operating officer, with responsibility for the fleet management subsidiary, PHH Arval, as well as for the company’s mortgage unit. Messina was most recently CEO of GE Chemical and Monitoring Solutions. PHH has also appointed Todd Gibbons to its board of directors.

CardPak: The sustainable packaging company announced the promotions of four senior managers. Vice president and general manager Greg Tisone was named as president, CFO Jerry Lamm was named as vice president and CFO, director of sales Tom Weber was promoted to vice president and general manager, and central region manager Seth Duckworth is now national sales manager.

Gevo: The renewable chemicals and advanced biofuels company has hired Robert Wooley as vice president of product development, and Brant DeMuth as executive vice president of strategy and corporate development. Wooley was director of engineering for Abengoa Bioenergy’s New Technology group, and DeMuth was a portfolio manager at Mazama Capital Management.

REC: The solar component company has appointed Luc Graré as senior vice president, sales and marketing, for cells & modules. He has held various executive positions at LG Electronics since 2004.
