Sustainable Apparel Coalition: The alliance appointed an executive director, Jason Kibbey. He was formerly CEO and co-founder of online retailer PACT.
Green Building Certification Institute: The third-party organization that administers the LEED AP professional credentialing and LEED project certification programs reappointed Stantec senior principal Harry Gordon to a three-year term on the board of directors, and a one-year term as secretary/treasurer.
Saatchi & Saatchi S: The sustainability strategy and communications consultancy has named Annie Longsworth as North America CEO.
US SIF: The Forum for Sustainable and Responsible Investment: The national nonprofit membership association for the sustainable and responsible investment industry has appointed four industry leaders to its board. They are Darragh Gallant, managing director, U.S., and director of institutional relations, North America, Sustainalytics; Reginald Stanley, senior VP and chief marketing officer, Calvert Investments, Inc.; Curtis D. Ravenel, global head, sustainability group, Bloomberg LP; and Tim Brennan, treasurer and CFO, Unitarian Universalist Association. Additionally, David Wood, director, Harvard University/Initiative for Responsible Investment and Betsy Zeidman, formerly director of the Compass Program, Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights, both were re-elected to the board of directors.
Crowell & Moring LLP: Jeffrey A. Smith has joined the firm's New York office, where he will be a partner in the Environment & Natural Resources and Corporate groups. Smith joins from Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, where he was a partner and head of the firm's environmental law group, as well as the former managing partner of administration.
Lighting Science Group: The LED lighting manufacturer has hired Andy Beck as chief communications officer. Beck is a former director of public affairs at the Department of Energy.
WSP Environment & Energy: The sustainability consultancy has appointed James Hiller as senior VP, leading the Americas eastern division operations. He joins from ERM where he was a partner in the northeast U.S.
Elster: The meter manufacturer appointed Mark Munday as chief technology officer and Edward Myszka as executive vice president of electricity for North America, Renew Grid reports. Munday joined Elster in 1981 and has led its electricity business in North America for 11 years. Myszka joins Elster from Comverge, and prior to that, Motorola.
Ecotality: The electric transportation company has appointed Kevin Cameron to its board of directors. He is CEO of Ionetix Corporation, a privately held medical device company.
SolarBridge Technologies: The provider of PV microinverters has appointed Judd Rabb as CFO and vice president of finance. Rabb held CFO or similar positions at Coldwatt (acquired by Flextronics), Illumitex, Green Mountain Energy (acquired by NRG), and Silicon Laboratories.
Navigant: The consulting firm announced that Dr. Bruce W. Perlstein and Dr. Ken Seiden have joined the firm’s Energy Practice as Directors. Dr. Perlstein has more than 25 years of experience consulting on energy and financial risk management, policy, and valuation-related issues, and Dr. Seiden has 25 years of strategic planning and quantitative analytics expertise.
