The Sustainability Consortium: Hewlett-Packard’s director of environmental sustainability and former director of ethical sourcing, Bonnie Nixon, has been appointed executive director of the environmental association, whose members include Walmart, McDonalds, Coca-Cola and many other major corporations.

RecycleMatch: the online B2B marketplace for business recycling and waste diversion announced that Andrew Winston has joined its advisory board. Winston is the best-selling author of Green to Gold and Green Recovery and a consultant to large corporations including Bank of America, Bayer, HP, Pepsi, Boeing and Ikea.

Mission NewEnergy Limited: the Australian renewable generation company named Brian Tippens, the leader of HP’s global supplier diversity and development programs, to its advisory board.

United Fresh Produce Association: has named Burleson Smith as its vice president of environmental affairs and sustainability. Smith is the former director of pest management policy as the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Software & Information Industry Association: has appointed Rob Barber, the CEO of Environmental Data Resources, to serve on its Content Division Board of Directors. Barber’s company provides platforms for property and building analysis to the environmental, financial, real estate, government and other sectors.

Suntech Power Holdings: the major solar panel producer has appointed David W. King to succeed Amy Zhang as chief financial officer. King is the former chief financial officer and treasurer of Tetra Tech, a consultant for the energy, infrastructure and resource management industries, and also worked at Bechtel and Walt Disney Imagineering.

FuelCell Energy: the fuel cell manufacturer appointed John A. Rolls as chairman of the board. Rolls is managing partner of Core Capital Group.

Lunera Lighting: the LED manufacturer and marketer has selected Howard Bailey as its CFO and Hai Dau as its vice president of engineering. The company also appointed Peter Graf, SAP’s chief sustainability officer and executive vice-president of sustainability solutions, to its board of directors.

Lumiette: the energy-efficient provider of lighting for flat panel lamps appointed Don A. Emmons as chief executive officer. Emmons served as president of Prescolite Lighting and vice president of Hanson Lighting, and also worked for Frito-Lay and US Industries.
