Environmental & Energy Executive Moves: BT, CF, Coulomb, Deepwater Wind

BT: The British telecoms company has appointed Niall Dunne as chief sustainability officer. Dunne led sustainability efforts at advertising firm Saatchi & Saatchi.

CF Industries Holdings: The chemical company has promoted Russell Holowachuk to the position of vice president, environment, health and safety (EHS) and engineering. He has been vice president and general manager of the company’s Medicine Hat, Alberta nitrogen facility since 1990.

Association of Global Automakers: The association has appointed Julia Rege as senior manager of environment and energy affairs. Rege was senior regulatory engineer, with a focus on energy and environmental regulatory issues, at Hyundai America Technical Center.

Deepwater Wind: The offshore wind developer has named Tim Daniels as senior vice president of market development. Before joining Deepwater, Daniels was vice president of energy policy for utility Constellation Energy Group.

Soladigm: The developer of energy-efficient glass for green buildings has announced that former First Solar COO Chip Hambro has joined its board of directors.

Fluidic, Inc: The developer of energy storage products has announced that Bruce Sohn has joined as chief executive officer. Sohn spent 24 years at Intel and most recently was president at First Solar.

Coulomb Technologies: The electric vehicle infrastructure firm has appointed Colleen Quinn as vice president of government relations and public policy. She has worked in government and political appointed position, and as a senior corporate officer and senior non-profit manager.

Nordic Windpower: The wind turbine manufacturer has announced the appointment of Jeff Brown as CEO and director. Brown has nearly 30 years’ experience at GE and has been COO of Nordic since 2008.

A-Power: The Chinese wind turbine manufacturer has announced the election of Michael Zhang as board of directors, replacing John Lin, who passed away in January. Zhang is currently A-Power’s vice president for strategic planning, internal audit and internal control. The company also announced that Robert Leckie has resigned from its board of directors after a disagreement on processes and best practices.

Energate: The provider of demand response and energy management systems has appointed Louis Szablya as vice president of marketing and utility solutions. He was director of smart grid integration at Fortune 500 engineering and technology company SAIC.

Sun Catalytix: The energy storage and renewable fuels company, an MIT spin-out, announced that Mike Decelle has joined as president and CEO. Decelle was most recently CEO of LED start-up LumenZ.

GaiaTech: The environmental risk consulting and compliance company has appointed Peter Capponi as senior vice president. He joins from O’Brien & Gere Engineers.
