Gamesa: The wind turbine manufacturing company has named David Flitterman as its chairman. Flitterman previously held senior management positions at several firms including Bankers Trust Company, part of the Deutsche Bank Group, in Spain, the UK, Brazil and the U.S.
Barrick Gold: The Toronto-based mining company established a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Advisory Board and named its five inaugural members: Aron Cramer, President and CEO of Business for Social Responsibility; Elizabeth Dowdeswell, President and CEO, Council of Canadian Academies; Robert Fowler, diplomat and senior foreign policy advisor to three Canadian Prime Ministers and Canada's ambassador to the United Nations; Ed Liebow, Director of the Battelle Memorial Institute's Seattle-based Center for Public Health Research and Evaluation; and Gare Smith, senior partner at Foley Hoag LLP.
Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education: The association has appointed Dr. Lori White to its Board of Directors for a term through December 2014. Prior to the appointment White was the vice president for student affairs at Southern Methodist University.
Leviton: The electrical device manufacturer has promoted John LaMontagne to the position of vice president of sales for the company's Lighting Energy Solutions business unit. LaMontagne, who joined the company in 1994, most recently served as the director of technical sales for Lighting Energy Solutions.
PwC: The company has appointed China specialist Allan Zhang to its UK Sustainability & Climate Change team. Previously Zhang was the leader of the PwC sustainability and climate change team based in Beijing, China.
PPL Corp.: The energy company has promoted David DeCampli president of PPL Energy Supply and president of PPL Generation. Previously DeCampli served as president of PPL Electric Utilities Corporation, a Pennsylvania electricity delivery company.
PNM Resources: The energy holding company has appointed Alan J. Fohrer to its board of directors serving on the Audit and Ethics Committee, and the Compensation and Human Resources Committee. Fohrer retired as chairman and CEO of Southern California Edison in December 2010 after 37 years.
Two Tomorrows: The corporate sustainability agency has made two senior consultant appointments, adding to its teams in Europe and North America. Gareth Manning joins the European team, having previously worked as a senior analyst for The Carbon Trust. Shyla Girvetz joins Two Tomorrows in San Francisco. Girvetz previously worked as an independent integrated marketing and corporate responsibility consultant.
WSP Environment + Energy: The energy and sustainability consulting firm has hired Jessica Kennedy as a project director. Kennedy previously she opened and managed the San Francisco office of Brightworks, a sustainability consulting practice.
