EnSync Energy Systems Supplying Oceanic Time Warner in Hawaii

ensyncEnSync Energy Systems announced today that it has entered a power purchase agreement with Oceanic Time Warner that includes a distributed energy resource system from the company.

The system is EnSync’s SuperModule containerized energy storage, its Matrix Energy Management and about 400 kW of solar power. It will be used for dedicated loads at the Oceanic Time Warner office and operations center in Kailua-Kona, HI.

EnSync Systems has been active. Last week, the company said that it working with ENMAX Energy Corp. at the District Energy Centre in Calgary, Alberta, Canada to integrate solar and energy storage with a combined heat and power (CHP) system. The press release says that ENMAX will use EnSync’s Matrix technology as part of the system and integration and will text several operating scenarios for what the release calls optimal system performance and efficiency.

Last summer, EnSync, working with its Chinese venture company, shipped a 500 kWh system to Lotte Chemical in South Korea. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel said that the system, which has four or more hours of discharge capability, shipped from Meineng Energy’s production site in Wuhu, China.
