Reflections from Jen: On this snowy April day, I’m staring out the window and looking forward to a sunny morning in Denver, 38 days in the future: Day One of our Environmental Leader & Energy Manager Conference (ELEMCON) Being an editor is a solitary job at times, especially when so many of our writers work remotely, so the conference - Denver Marriott Tech Center, May 15 through 17 - is my opportunity to get out and meet the people who are making “great” happen in the world of environmental and energy management.
One event I am most looking forward to is the celebration of the EL75 and EMT75 Honorees at the Closing Luncheon on May 17. That’s our chance to meet and congratulate the 75 Honorees who are making the biggest strides in both environmental and energy management (150 total!). Especially exciting - drumroll... - is that this year, we are also naming one person from each of the Honoree lists as Person of the Year. This is the first time we have chosen to honor a single individual, and more exciting, nobody, including the Persons of the Year themselves, will know who will receive the honor until the actual announcement is made. (The envelope, please...)
So join us at the celebratory lunch where we will meet the EL75 and EMT75 Honorees (maybe you’re one of them!) and hear the naming of the Persons of the Year. Of course, we’ll also share excellent food and drink, great conversations, and some laughs.
Our very special thanks go to Sparkfund for sponsoring the EMT75, EL75 and Person of the Year luncheon. See you there!
Have a great weekend and, as always, stay in touch,
Jen
