Businesses that are serious about cutting their energy use should evaluate the variety of energy-saving technologies that are available to them. In many cases, the savings can add up to thousands of dollars in annual savings.
As an example, in the Washington, D.C. area, the Congressional Country Club and Verizon Center entertainment and sports arena will cut their energy bills by thousands of dollars per month with the installation of these types of solutions.
The Congressional Country Club reports an 18 percent drop in its electricity consumption in the four months since it installed energy conservation technologies from Energy Automation Systems, Inc. (EASI). Mike Troyner, operations director of the Congressional Country Club, says an 18 percent energy use reduction results in yearly savings of more than $122,000.
The Verizon Center, which is currently installing the EASI solution, estimates it will save the facility about $25,000 a month, or more than 10 percent of the center's electric bill, according to a press release.
Nashville, Tenn.-based EASI says businesses can typically reduce their energy bills between 10 and 30 percent. EASI or one of its affiliates will conduct an energy survey for a potential client to determine the estimated energy savings. If the actual savings fails to meet the projection, EASI says it will make up the difference.
