Structuring building electronics in a way that enables hourly measurements of energy use is a key step toward creating intelligent buildings that fight climate change, said a panelist at a seminar this week sponsored by the Boston University Institute for Sustainable Energy (ISE).
The report on the seminar at The Daily Free Press – the site of Boston University – indicated that a panelists said that integrating intelligence into buildings has become a $25 billion industry and that it will continue to grow. A member of ISE said that the seminar was the first of many events that the group will host.
Earlier this year, WGL Energy Services said that it is extending the capabilities of its free energy management platform. The tool is designed to provide granular numbers to, and in other ways help, facility and energy managers.
