The pilot plant was operated by BioteQ in 2014 and into the first quarter of 2015 using the company’s patent-pending Selen-IX treatment technology.
The completion of the piloting campaign within a one-year timeline after the issuance of the BC Environmental Assessment Certificate on July 30, 2014 was a key condition of the certificate for Seabridge Gold to operate the mine and further demonstrates BioteQ’s solution to treat elevated selenium concentrations in impacted waters.
