Apple's retail stores are now implementing a new “no plastic bags” policy, AppleInsider reports.
Instead of bagging customer's products in plastic, Apple's retail stores are now offering help carrying large collections of purchases to customer's cars. Customers also have the option of leaving their purchased goods at the store while they continue shopping at other stores.
The move is part of Apple's efforts to present a green image. In January, the company showed off the new generation 17-inc MacBook Pro, the latest edition of “the world's greenest family of notebooks.” However, the company opposed a shareholder resolution that would require it to publish a corporate social responsibility report. In the past Greenpeace has also criticized Apple for not having published information on their green policies.
