Ball Corporation Expands Sustainable Packaging Footprint with Acquisition of Alucan

Ball Corporation has acquired Alucan, a leader in aluminum aerosol and bottle technology, to bolster its European presence and meet the increasing demand for sustainable packaging. This acquisition expands Ball’s operations with new production facilities in Spain and Belgium, enhancing its ability to deliver high-quality, environmentally friendly packaging solutions across Europe.

Ball, a globally recognized pioneer in sustainable aluminum packaging for beverages, personal care, and home products, aims to simplify sustainability for its customers. This latest acquisition furthers that goal, adding the specialized capabilities needed to serve growing markets with eco-friendly solutions. The new plants are outfitted with advanced technology designed to optimize resource use, reduce waste, and minimize carbon footprints.

Moreover, with production facilities closer to European clients, Ball can optimize logistics to reduce transportation emissions, furthering its commitment to a sustainable, circular economy.

Ball integrates Alucan’s specialized aerosol and bottle capabilities, broadening its reach into diverse markets, including personal and home care products while creating new cross-selling opportunities with food and beverage brands.
