MS is the Product Marketing Manager responsible for Cority’s Environmental and Safety initiatives. Before taking this role, Ian was Cority’s Environmental Product Manager, where he was responsible for developing Cority’s Environmental Compliance and Data Management Suite. Prior to working with Cority, Ian was an environmental specialist at Florida Power & Light Company, a NextEra Energy, Inc., company, where he led the development, implementation, and management of various environmental management systems and programs. Ian is well versed in the development of enterprise environmental management information systems and is a subject matter expert in corporate sustainability, including program development, annual reporting, and stakeholder communications. Ian earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Master of Science in Environmental Science, both from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

Mr. Schmitz is a Principal Consultant with operational responsibilities for Trinity’s EHS Information Technology business line. With more than 25 years of experience as both a consultant and regulator, Mr. Schmitz provides strong strategic and tactical leadership to Trinity’s projects and customers. His extensive regulatory background, diverse industrial process knowledge, and proven management capabilities are a strong combination to deliver leading EHS solutions.
As a specialization, Mr. Schmitz is a recognized leader in the information management arena with expertise in the selection, implementation, and sustainment of information solutions to support transformational Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability programs. He has detailed knowledge of leading software systems and has led enterprise implementations within numerous industrial sectors including chemical, petrochemical, oil and gas, power, steel, paint, and aluminum.
As an environmental professional and compliance consultant, Mr. Schmitz has managed numerous projects involving air permitting, compliance reporting, multi-media audits, environmental management systems, training, and performance benchmarking. His air quality compliance management background includes NSR/PSD/Title V permitting, applicability analyses, and emission inventory design and development. Mr. Schmitz is also an experienced climate change and sustainability subject matter expert with many diverse experiences including enterprise energy program management program, sustainability metrics development and tracking, enterprise GHG inventory development, and carbon verification projects.
Mr. Schmitz is an experienced professional whose roles have included delivery leader, project manager, operations manager, staff supervisor, strategic advisor, and technology director.
Managing Consultant | Trinity Consultants, Inc.
Ms. Wilson is a Managing Consultant affiliated with Trinity’s Pittsburgh, PA office. A twenty-five year veteran in the environmental field, she has in-depth experience with federal and state air quality permitting for a variety of industries, including general permits, Title V permits, and Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD) and Non-Attainment New Source Review (NNSR) Permitting and “avoidance” permitting Ms. Wilson has worked on numerous projects involving National Emissions Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) and Maximum Achievable Control Technology (MACT) applicability and compliance. She has extensive experience with criteria and HAP/toxic air pollutant and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions quantification and inventory development and reporting under state and federal compulsory programs, as well as corporate sustainability and voluntary reduction programs. As a seasoned environmental professional, Ms. Wilson routinely performs compliance and environmental management system audits and assists clients with EHS software selection and implementation. Ms. Wilson serves a variety of industries, including extensive work in the steel, natural gas, and petrochemical sectors with a particular focus on facilities in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, New York, and Ohio.
Ms. Wilson has served as the lead instructor for several of Trinity’s national training courses and numerous custom courses, webinars, and seminars on a variety of industry topics. She has presented related training topics to a variety of audiences as part of industry trade group conferences, courses for regulatory agency personnel, and for numerous public meetings and hearings on industrial development projects.
Ms. Wilson earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences from M.I.T. in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
