I’m not a morning person. Or Monday person. So this morning, trying to get myself motivated, I opened our ELEMCON conference agenda page to see what was new, and – holy cow! – instant mood-boost. We’ve lined up some seriously significant talent.
Since I’m not a practitioner, I’m always excited to learn from the people who are out in the fields actually doing great stuff (while I sit at my desk writing about it).
And a lot of the people who are doing the great stuff will be sharing their knowledge, tactics and lessons-learned at our conference in May.

In the food & bev arena, we’ve got experts from AB InBev, Coca-Cola and New Belgium Brewing (a craft brewery that happens to be located in our home of Fort Collins, CO, and that happens to make one of my favorite beers, Fat Tire).
In hospitality, we’ll hear from Wyndham Destinations (I bet you’ve stayed at a Wyndham property at least once) and park & resort management superstar Xanterra Travel Collection (formerly Xanterra Parks & Resorts – they manage, among other places, Yellowstone National Park).
We’ve got sustainability and energy management experts from real estate giant Simon Property Group and retail giant Ulta Beauty.
We’ll hear experts from Ernst & Young, the US Department of Energy, and the US Green Building Council. We’ll learn from Jerry Tinianow, the City of Denver’s Chief Sustainability Officer and sustainability legend Gil Friend (founder of Critical Path Capital, chairman of Natural Logic, and former Chief Sustainability Officer of the City of Palo Alto, CA).
And Tesla. Did I mention Tesla?
But I’m being sincere in saying that, as much as I’m looking forward to hearing from these experts, I’m equally excited to sit down with all of you – at breakfast, at the awards bash, during networking breaks and breakout sessions – to share ideas and enthusiasms.
