by | Dec 21, 2016

solectThe Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical High School in Bourne, MA, has installed a 663 KW solar canopy atop its parking lot. The project was done in association with Green Seal Environmental and Solect Energy.

The canopy at the 725-student school also will provide energy to the Bourne Rec Authority. The project was created under a 20-year power purchase agreement between the school and Solect Energy, according to the press release.

Green Seal developed, designed and got permitting for the array. Solect Energy financed and constructed the system. The school incurred no costs in the process. Its energy costs – as well as those of the Bourne Rec Authority – will be reduced via the project.
