The program was established last year and, to date, has achieved two of its three charter goals. The first was to engage 25 percent of its commercial and industrial customers through energy assessments and rebates. The second is to cut government buildings and operations energy use by 8 percent.
McCall Monument was recognized for installing LEDs that the story says will cut energy use by 24,455 kWh annually. Newton Enterprises is cutting energy use by 40,669 kWh annually through use of variable frequency drive motors.
