Environmental Executive Moves: Waste Management, USGBC, CH2M, NG Advantage, Stem

Waste Management: The waste management company has promoted James (Jim) C. Fish, Jr. to president and CEO. He has also been elected to the board of directors. Fish was promoted to CFO in 2012 and president and CFO in July. Fish succeeds David P. Steiner as CEO. Steiner served as CEO since 2004 and remains on the board of directors.

US Green Building Council: The green building organization has named Mahesh Ramanujam (pictured) president and CEO of USGBC. He will also serve as president and CEO of USGBC’s sister organization, Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI). Formerly USGBC’s COO, Ramanujam takes the reins from Rick Fedrizzi, USGBC’s founding chair, who had previously announced plans to leave the organization toward the end of 2016.

NG Advantage: The compressed natural gas provider, which is majority owned by Clean Energy Fuels, has named Enrico “Rico” Biasetti as the company’s chief executive officer. Biasetti succeeds Tom Evslin, who will remain chairman of the board of directors. Prior to coming to NG Advantage, Biasetti was president and COO of Biogenic Reagents/Michigan Renewable Carbon.

Stem: The commercial-scale intelligent energy storage services company has hired Bill Bush as its chief financial officer. Bush most recently served as the CFO of Borrego Solar Systems.

CH2M: The environmental consulting, engineering and management company has named senior vice president and key account manager Patrick O’Keefe president of the CH2M Foundation Board. O’Keefe succeeds CH2M senior vice president Elisa Speranza.

August Mack Environmental: The environmental, health and safety consulting firm has hired Eric Cooper as its environmental due diligence (transaction) practice leader. For the past two years, Cooper was a risk manager for a global bank helping assess environmental risk associated with underwriting real estate loans for multiple lending units.

National Recycling Coalition: The recycling organization whose members include waste reduction, reuse, recycling and composting companies has elected Resource Recycling Systems senior consultant Juri Freeman to chair the NRC. Freeman joined RRS in February.

Water Research Foundation: The sponsor of research supporting the water community has appointed John Albert as chief research officer. Albert joined the Water Research Foundation in 2005.
