The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that the Findlay (PA) municipal center is installing induction lighting.
Findlay is partnering with Future Energy Solutions on deploying the technology, which the story says has a long history. Exact figures are not available, but the story says that a 20-light sample suggests that annual savings to the township will be about $315. Monthly lighting fees for the facility, including signs and outdoor lights, is about $520. Induction lighting will be used in outside areas and LEDs in interiors, according to the story. The piece adds that induction lights have a longer life and are brighter than legacy technologies.
Last year, Kent State University moved to EverLast induction lighting for its recreation and fitness center.
