Here’s the latest news on hirings, promotions and departures among environmental leaders.
Veolia Water Technologies: The resource management giant has appointed Frédéric Théry (pictured) as its new Asia Pacific chief executive officer. Théry has worked in different entities across the Veolia Group over the last 23 years, first moving into Veolia Water Technologies in 2003 as executive vice president at Veolia Water Technologies North America.
ION Engineering: The carbon capture technology company has appointed Erik Meuleman chief technology officer. Most recently he served as research team leader at the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO) Australia.
Canadian Solar: The solar power company appointed Dr. Huifeng Chang senior vice president and chief financial officer, effective May 22. Michael G. Potter, who currently holds the position, has decided to leave the company. Chang joined Canadian Solar in early 2016 as senior vice president of corporate strategy, business development and finance.
Renewable NRG Systems: The renewable energy industry products and services company has hired Mario López as senior territory manager for the European, Middle Eastern and African. López previously worked as senior sales manager at Suzlon Group responsible for wind turbine sales in Spain and Latin America.
Ceco Environmental: The environmental, energy and fluid handling technology company announced that Valerie Gentile Sachs and Dennis Sadlowski have been elected to its board of directors. Sachs was the vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary of OM Group. Sadlowski was the chief operating officer of LSG Sky Chefs North America. Arthur Cape, a director since 2005, has retired after 11 years.
Environmental Waste International: The company, which specializes in environmentally safe systems for the breakdown of organic materials, announced that Jian Guo (Bob) has resigned as a director for personal reasons. Glenn Myers will serve as director until the company’s next annual general meeting. Myers is a founding partner of Corporate Partners International and Preston Willis Group.
