Environmental Executive Moves: Novelis, CLEAResult, Eco Building Products, Bigbelly

Steve Fisher NovelisHere’s the latest news on hirings, promotions and departures among environmental leaders.

Novelis: The aluminum recycling and rolled products manufacturer has named Steve Fisher (pictured) as its president and chief executive officer. Fisher previously held the position of chief financial officer and has been serving as interim president and chief executive officer since April 2015.

CLEAResult: The energy efficiency programs and services provider announced the retirement of its co-founder Glenn Garland, chief executive officer and chairman of the board. Jim Stimmel, co-founder of CleaResult and executive vice president, will serve as CEO and chairman until a new leader is confirmed.

Eco Building Products: The manufacturer of environmentally friendly building products has appointed Randy Smith as the company’s chief financial officer. He is a CPA and mid-market CFO and has led a number of recapitalizations and strategic buy-outs.

Biopesticide Industry Alliance (BPIA): The advocacy organization has named Keith Jones as its new executive director. Jones is an environmental attorney who previously served as executive director of a land conservation trust in Pennsylvania and as general counsel for several nonprofit organizations including a national trade association in Washington DC focused on clean water issues.

Bigbelly: The developer of smart waste and recycling management systems has named Emmett Reidy as the director of operations for its new UK subsidiary. Previously, he was head of operations at Kyron Energy & Power.

Ernst & Young: The multinational professional services firm has appointed Velislava (Veli) Ivanova, PhD, as a principal in the firm’s Climate Change and Sustainability Services practice. She joins Ernst & Young from CH2M, where she served as a global sustainability practice director.

Arup: The engineering and consulting firm has appointed Brian Swett as director of cities and sustainable real estate in the Americas. Prior to joining Arup, Swett served as chief of environment, energy and open space for the city of Boston.

Aqua America: The water utility has promoted Charles Stevenson to director of fleet and supply chain management. He joined Aqua in 1987 as a service technician and held various positions of increased responsibility before being promoted to manager of fleet in 2001 and manager of fleet and materials management in 2007.

Climate + Energy Project: The nonprofit organization has named Olga Khakova as a program director. Before joining CEP, she coordinated events and developed communications strategies in Brazil, Canada, China and the United States for Bombardier Aerospace.
