Johnson Controls energy manageJohnson Controls recently unveiled its new variable refrigerant flow training facility in Dallas, Texas. The 12,600-sq-foot education center helps contractors and sales professionals deliver VRF services through a multi-day training program.

Training center participants will learn how to design, install and service the Johnson Controls VRF systems, which were unveiled at the 2015 International Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating Expo earlier this year. The ductless and modular HVAC system heats and cools multiple building zones.

Johnson Controls VRF features Hitachi’s high-efficiency compressors and is complemented by energy modeling and selection tools to measure and compare VRF to other HVAC technologies.

In January, Johnson Controls, Hitachi and Hitachi Appliances entered into a joint venture in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration industry, including variable refrigerant flow (VRF) technology, inverter technology based room air conditioners, and absorption chillers.
