by | Jun 11, 2015

PowerTap-smaller-300x195Boulder Power Technologies, a provider of portable, renewable power products, announced the national availability of its PowerTap 2000. The company launched the PowerTap 2000 in the Colorado market in March. The device is designed to displace gas-powered, portable generators.

The PowerTap 2000 uses Lithium Ion battery technology to deliver portable power with “zero-noise/zero-emissions” and without the fumes and cost of gasoline. It can be wheeled into place and provides up to 6000 watts of power (2000 watts continuously) for applications ranging from construction sites and mobile businesses to events and facility support. The unit is re-charged through a standard household electrical outlet, and a full charge takes 90 minutes. It provides up to 12 hours of uninterrupted power.
