Eco-Shift Power signed a contract with Cott Beverages Canada to retrofit one of Cott’s production facilities in Mississauga, Ontario, with LED fixtures. Cott expects over $170,000 per year savings.
The project consists of a full LED retrofit for a 220,000-sq-foot facility, including Cott’s production plant, warehouses, storage space, offices, parking and other external lighting. A total of 972 fixtures will be retrofitted and upgraded to LED equivalents. Existing fixtures include HID metal halides (High-bays, Wallpacks, and flood lighting), fluorescents (T12 and T8) and Halogen PAR lamps. These will be replaced with NetZero 210W LED High-bays, 28W LED Wallpacks & Floodlights, 12, 16 & 24W LED Linear Tubes and 17W LED Par lamps.
The Cott retrofit is expected to result in an annual energy reduction of 1,027,364.72 kWh, translating to cost savings of over $170,000 per year. The project has an internal rate of return of about 99.9 percent allowing for Eco-Shift Power to guarantee that the project will become cash flow positive in as little as 1.3 years.
In addition, Eco-Shift Power will integrate its light management system into all NetZero LED High-bays located in warehouse and production areas. Energy savings through dimming, scheduling and internal fixture diagnosis will be provided in real-time to the centralized desktop PC controller verifying proposed energy savings calculations and providing information on where improvements can be made.
Cott operates approximately 60 manufacturing facilities and 180 distribution facilities in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Mexico.
