The Neshaminy school board in Bucks County, Penn., unanimously approved the $20.9 million Phase 1 energy savings performance contract (ESPC) presented by Harrisburg, Penn.-based Reynolds Energy Services.
The work includes major upgrades to three district schools, including air conditioning at all three schools, new windows, new air fixtures, a new boiler at one school, upgrades to electrical and plumbing systems, improvements to fire alarm, security, and exterior lighting systems and roof repairs as needed. The installation of a centralized, computer-based energy management system is also part of the project.
The ESPC is guaranteed to provide $920,000 in 20-year energy savings.
The work will begin June 2015 and be completed by the start of the 2015/2016 school year in August 2015.
