Ikea Considering Carbon Pricing: Ikea CEO Peter Agnefjall has said the furniture giant may put a price on its internal carbon emissions.
Agnefjall says sustainability efforts — such as an internal carbon price — will protect the environment and create a “new and better Ikea,” Reuters reports.
The company will analyze carbon pricing in the coming months.
Walmart, BP, ExxonMobil, General Electric and about two dozen other major US companies have already integrated a price on carbon emissions into their long-term business plans, according to a CDP report published in December 2013.
