The results of a survey from OnePoll and Rexel found that 60 percent of British employees actively charge their personal devices at work to save using energy at home, with 32 percent admitting to daily charging sessions and 36 percent charging multiple devices.
In addition, the survey found that 48 percent of the British public would describe themselves as energy conscious at home, while only 20 percent would say the same about their behavior in the workplace. Over 70 percent claim they are concerned about wasting energy at home, while 43 percent worry about wasting energy at work.
Looking at more common energy drains, such as lighting and heating, the survey found that 93 percent claim they turn off the lights when leaving an empty room at home in contrast to 60 percent of respondents at work.
