Environmental Executive Moves: GBI, Fuel Tech, Earthbound, USGBC

Green Building Initiative: The green building nonprofit that administers the Green Globes certification program in the US has named Jerry Yudelson (pictured) president. Formerly the president of Yudelson Associates in Tucson, Ariz., Yudelson has authored 13 green building books, achieved recognition as a LEED Fellow, and chaired the steering committee for Greenbuild, the US’ largest annual green building show.

Coalview: The coal technology and fine coal recovery company has appointed Roger Fish as its president, CEO and director. Most recently, Fish held various leadership positions at TransAlta Corporation. Fish succeeds David Schwedel, Coalview’s interim-president and CEO, the company’s lead investor and founder, who will remain as executive director to the company.

WhiteWave Foods: The organic foods company says Kevin C. Yost will join WhiteWave’s newly acquired Earthbound Farm business as prresident. Charlie Sweat, previously CEO of Earthbound, will move into an advisory role. Yost most recently worked with Saputo, a global company in branded and private label foods and beverages.

Fuel Tech: The emissions control technology company has appointed Vincent J. Arnone to executive vice president and chief operating officer, a newly-created position. Arnone has served as executive vice president, worldwide operations of Fuel Tech since September 2010.

Maxim Partners: The private equity firm says it has joined forces with G.W. “Bill” Dietrich and William M. “Billy” Dietrich to form Bobcat Disposal Companies to acquire and integrate residential, commercial and industrial solid waste companies across the US. Bill Dietrich previously served as president and CEO at Veolia ES Solid Waste (formerly Superior Services and Onyx Waste Services). Billy Dietrich most recently was COO of the family’s Florida-based construction and demolition collection business. Bill and Billy will lead Bobcat as chairman/CEO and president, respectively.

US Green Building Council: The green building certification nonprofit has appointed Telkonet’s Gerrit Reinders, LEED AP and executive vice president of sales and marketing, to a two-year term on its board of directors.
