Certified Energy Manager Program Gains ANSI Accreditation

AEE logo Energy ManageThe Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) says its Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification program has been accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) based on the International Standard ANSI/ISO/IEC 17024. AEE says it has defined the workforce for Certified Energy Managers based on thirty-two years’ experience and over 14,000 certified professionals.

AEE is currently working with The National Institute of Building Sciences’ (NIBS’) Commercial Workforce Credentialing Council (CWCC), which is identifying industry practitioners to participate in job-task analysis studies for the following five job categories: 1. Building Energy Auditor 2. Building Commissioning Professional 3. Building Operations Professional 4. Energy Manager 5. Facility Manager (for Government Facilities).
