Powerhouse Dynamics, which developed the eMonitor energy, water and asset management platform, announced that Arby’s Restaurant Group is installing eMonitor systems in all 860 corporate-owned stores across the US. The roll-out is scheduled to be completed by the end of the year.
ICF International has been awarded a new contract and a re-compete contract from the EPA to assist its environmental services assistance team program in the Region 3 Mid-Atlantic and Region 9 Pacific Southwest areas. Under the contracts, which have a combined value of about $31 million, ICF will support the Superfund remediation program.
The city of Ventura, Calif. selected Harris Utilities’ MeterSense to help it prepare for a planned advanced metering infrastructure roll-out and its CustomerConnect customer engagement system, which enables customers to access and interpret their consumption patterns. The city will go live with both the systems in 2014.
Ryder System has won a contract with Willow Run Foods for a full service lease agreement for 15 heavy duty compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles. Ryder says the vehicles will save Willow Run Foods more than $100,000 annually through a reduction of 175,000 gallons of diesel fuel consumption.
American Power Group has received purchase orders totaling about $200,000 from Collicutt Energy Services, its stationary authorized dealer and certified installer in Alberta and Western Canada, for the conversion of drilling rigs for two of the leading drilling and well service providers in Alberta.
The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago has selected Black & Veatch of Overland Park, Kan., and Ostara Nutrient Recovery Technologies in Vancouver, BC, Canada to design and build a nutrient recovery system at its Stickney Water Reclamation Plant in Cicero, Ill. Black & Veatch is providing design, procurement and construction services and maintenance. Ostara will provide the nutrient recovery system, including equipment.
Clean Air Power, the developer of Dual-Fuel engine management software for heavy duty vehicles, and Ricardo, a consulting firm for engineering, technology, project innovation and strategy, have entered into a five year non-exclusive cooperation agreement to develop dual fuel engines for potential OEM partners. When appropriate, both companies will recommend the other as a preferred partner.
Plum Creek Timber Company has entered into a 10-year fiber supply and services agreement with Enova Group, an independent bioenergy firm headquartered in Atlanta, Ga. Enova will construct mills to convert wood fiber into pellets to serve global biomass markets. Pellet shipments are expected to begin in 2015.
