EDF Fellows Leverage Noesis Data

by | Aug 2, 2013

NOESIS logoSixty-one Environmental Defense Fund Climate Corps Fellows are using Noesis’ energy tracking and project forecasting tools to identify and prioritize energy-efficiency improvement projects affecting 850 buildings this summer.

Noesis provides the free tools necessary for anyone to evaluate the energy performance of a commercial or industrial facility, locate areas in need of improvement and advance energy-efficiency projects in their facilities.

Noesis has been a longtime supporter of EDF, initially with EDF Climate Corps, and more recently as a Project Ally with the EDF Investor Confidence Project.

EDF Climate Corps places specially trained graduate students into hundreds of organizations as dedicated energy problem solvers. By highlighting the financial and environmental gains from energy efficiency and sharing best practices and cost-effective ways to save energy, each EDF Climate Corps fellow uncovers an average of $1 million in energy savings for each participating organization. The 2013 program has 116 fellows.

The Fellows are able to generate reports through the Noesis platform to help them convince key stakeholders of the environmental and financial returns of proposed initiatives. The platform is also a complement to Energy Star Portfolio Manager for clients with large portfolios to help them view consumption and performance trends, potential reduction opportunities, and to track the success of upgrades and retrofits.
