xchangepoint-resource.jpgxChange Point, a system that allows companies to track their energy usage and CO2 emissions at the product level, plant level and corporate level, is being developed by EPS, an energy management company (via CNet).

In a time when seemingly all companies are concerned with their emissions and the amount of energy they use, xChange is designed to provide remote, real-time data to help energy managers track and adjust energy consumption and carbon emissions from a facility’s systems and subsystems at the product level, plant level and corporate level.

Users will be able to analyze trends and cost-concerns, such as when to replace equipment and realize costs savings, the company said.

Currently in beta testing at more than a dozen facilities in California, xChange Point, which includes a hardware device placed at a customer’s location and software to analyze data, will be available on a subscription basis in June 2008.
