IBM has been temporarily barred from receiving contracts with all federal agencies while the Environmental Protection Agency reviews concerns raised about potential activities involving a procurement, AP reports.
IBM and some of its employees have received subpoenas from a federal grand jury.
Under an agreement among federal agencies, when one issues a ban, the others follow it. IBM has federal contracts worth at least $1.3 billion.
The EPA isn’t discussing what led to the suspension, but IBM has released a statement saying that the suspension is related to an EPA bid originally submitted in March 2006.
