Intel Joins Chicago Climate Exchange

Last week, Intel joined the Chicago Climate Exchange and committed to cut its greenhouse gas emissions in the U.S. by a minimum of six percent in absolute terms by 2010.

“At Intel, we are proactively working to reduce our carbon footprint,” Todd Brady, Intel’s Corporate Environmental Manager, said in a statement (PDF). “We believe participation in CCX provides us with an opportunity to continue to improve our climate change programs and to demonstrate that marketbased emissions trading programs can provide flexible and cost effective solutions.”
